Cardinal Flower

This native wildflower brings brilliant scarlet-red flower spikes in late summer that hummingbirds absolutely mob. Unlike most perennials, this one tolerates wet sites and even boggy conditions. The vertical flower spikes add drama to shade gardens. Michigan Native Plant.
